Privacy policy

This privacy policy describes how GeospatialX S.r.l. ("GeospatialX", "we", "us") collects, uses and protects personal data when you visit www.geospatialx.ai or contact us through it, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (General Data Protection Regulation, "GDPR") and applicable Italian data protection law.

1. Data controller

The data controller is GeospatialX S.r.l., Viale Africa 14, 95129 Catania, Italy. For any privacy-related matter you can contact us at info@geospatialx.ai.

2. What data we collect

We process the following categories of personal data:

  • Demo request data. When you submit the "Request a demo" form we collect the data you provide: full name, work email address, company, job role, industry, what you need to analyze, the decision you are trying to support, number of assets or locations, geographic coverage, whether you need to integrate proprietary data, project timeline, and any free-text description of your use case.
  • Correspondence. If you write to us (for example by email or through LinkedIn), we process the contact details and the content of your message.
  • Usage data (only with your consent). If you accept analytics cookies, we collect aggregated information about how the website is used (pages viewed, approximate location derived from a truncated IP address, device and browser type) through Google Analytics. See our cookie policy for details.

This website is aimed at business users. We do not knowingly collect data from minors, and we do not process special categories of personal data.

3. Why we process your data and legal bases

  • To prepare and discuss your use case and schedule a demo — performance of pre-contractual measures taken at your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
  • To respond to your enquiries — our legitimate interest in managing business communications (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • To measure and improve the website through analytics — your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.
  • To comply with legal obligations that may apply to us (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).

Providing the data marked as required in the demo form is necessary to handle your request; without it we cannot prepare or discuss your use case. All other fields are optional.

4. How long we keep your data

  • Demo request and correspondence data: for the time needed to handle your request and, at most, for 24 months after our last contact, unless a business relationship is established or a longer retention is required by law.
  • Analytics data: according to the retention period configured in Google Analytics (14 months), in aggregated form.

5. Who we share your data with

We never sell your personal data and we never share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes. Your data is accessed only by authorized GeospatialX personnel and by service providers acting as data processors on our behalf and under our instructions, namely:

  • our email delivery provider, used to route demo requests to our team;
  • our website hosting and infrastructure providers;
  • Google LLC, limited to analytics and only if you have given consent.

Data may also be disclosed where required by law or competent authorities.

6. International transfers

Some of our service providers are established in, or use infrastructure located in, countries outside the European Economic Area (in particular the United States). Where this happens, transfers are protected by an adequacy decision of the European Commission (such as the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, where the provider is certified) or by Standard Contractual Clauses, together with additional safeguards where appropriate.

7. Your rights

Under Articles 15–22 GDPR you have the right to:

  • access your personal data and obtain a copy of it;
  • have inaccurate data rectified and incomplete data completed;
  • obtain the erasure of your data ("right to be forgotten");
  • restrict the processing in the cases provided by law;
  • receive your data in a portable format;
  • object to processing based on legitimate interest, on grounds relating to your particular situation;
  • withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.

To exercise your rights, write to info@geospatialx.ai. We will respond within one month. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian supervisory authority (Garante per la Protezione dei Dati Personali, www.garanteprivacy.it) or with the supervisory authority of your place of residence or work.

8. Security

We apply technical and organizational measures appropriate to the risk, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, minimization of the data we collect, and the selection of providers offering adequate security guarantees.

9. Automated decision-making

We do not use your personal data for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affects you.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time, for example to reflect changes in the law or in our services. The current version, with its date of last update, is always published on this page.
